One of our customer has tested hydraulic systems manually with paper and pen.

We have therefore developed a smart and easy-to-use app that can even be used to perform checks in offline mode via digital questionnaire. For better documentation, pictures can also be taken directly for each question with the tablet camera and can be attached to the protocol. After the inspection is completed, a digital protocol is sent as a PDF directly to the inspector’s office and, if necessary, also directly to the customer.

Die Entwicklung von Apps mit Ionic ermöglicht die Erstellung von Cross-Plattform-Anwendungen, die bei nur einer Codebasis auf verschiedenen Betriebssystemen und Geräten laufen können (hybride App). Egal ob iOS, Android oder Progressive-Web-App (PWA) – mit dem webbasierten Open-Source-Framework Ionic muss nur einmal programmiert werden.

iOS

With Ionic, we have the option of developing apps that run on iPhones and iPads. With Capacitor or Cordova, we can use native interfaces and functionalities (camera, geolocation, drop sensor, etc.)

Android

Similar to iOS, apps developed with Ionic can of course also run on Android devices. Native interfaces and adaptation to different screen sizes and device specifications are also supported here.

Progressive Web App (PWA)

A PWA is a mixture of app and web application and combines the advantages of both worlds. It does not have to be installed via an app store, but has offline functionality, for example, and can also access the hardware of devices.

Essentially, all you need is an app idea, a clear plan and which requirements are essential for the app. We support you right from the start: From developing your concept, analysing requirements and determining the target group to developing and designing the app.

As with the question of the development time of an app, there is no universal answer when it comes to costs. The cost of developing an app depends largely on the scope of its functions and the platforms on which it is to be made available.

Apps that are less expensive usually fulfil a specific and simple purpose. If the requirements for functionality and design complexity increase, the development costs increase accordingly. Nevertheless, we have tried to put together certain packages on our pricing page to give you a rough overview.

Due to its individuality, every app presents a certain challenge and is unique. It is not possible to make a generalised statement about the duration of app development due to the large number of factors that need to be taken into account. The development time varies depending on the scope of the required functions, the desired special features in the design, the preparatory work already done, the provision of graphics and information, … the list is almost endless.

For an app that is limited to essential functions, the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) can typically be completed within the first three months. Based on our experience, the development of a comprehensive app that includes all desirable features, including the conception and design phase, takes on average between 5 and 6 months.

Complicated question, simple answer: Yes, in many cases it makes sense to start an app idea with a minimum viable product (MVP). An MVP makes it possible to come to market with a basic but functional product in order to gather real user feedback as quickly as possible. This approach offers several advantages:

  1. Fast time to market: with an MVP, you can get your app to market faster as it focuses on core functionality and leaves additional features out for now.
  2. User feedback: By collecting user feedback at an early stage, you can better understand what users actually want and need (keyword: user-centred development). This makes it possible to further develop the product in a targeted manner and utilise resources efficiently. In Germany, we very often develop without the users in mind.
  3. Risk minimisation: The development of an MVP requires less time and financial resources than the development of a fully functional app. This minimises the risk for you as a customer, as you don’t have to invest as much before you can check the app’s demand among users.

High-quality development alone is not enough to win over an end user for an app. A well thought-out concept and, in particular, an intuitive and user-friendly design (UI/UX) are crucial. A hybrid app saves an enormous amount of development time and therefore also development costs. We develop the app once (a code base) and then, thanks to Ionic, apps for iOS, Android or a PWA for web applications come out the other end. To be honest, hybrid apps are not quite as performant as native apps, but in most cases users no longer even notice this thanks to modern end devices.

Our motto at this point: After the app launch is before the app launch. Your app is a changing organism and must constantly evolve based on user feedback if it is to create added value.

Of course, there are always bugs that can occur despite all the automated tests or newly discovered security vulnerabilities. Either way, we are always there for you even after the launch and help you maintain and further develop your app.
