Employee tool

In today's IT landscape, there are already a large number of different tools for almost every use case. Nevertheless, we identified some special cases that no tool could map in a way that perfectly fit our company and culture. So we thought, let's do it ourselves real quick. A few small requirements have resulted in a complete platform for our employees, on which they can track their overtime and also schedule it (floating days). We also enter our absences there, so we can see at a glance who is available today or tomorrow. This tool has a modular structure and is to be constantly expanded - becoming our own intranet in the long term, so to speak. We integrate various interfaces in order to be able to synchronize as much data as possible automatically. For example, overtime is automatically updated via data reconciliation with our time tracking tool. We programmed the platform with Angular (frontend), a Node.js backend and a MongoDB database (NoSQL). It is hosted in Docker containers within our own cluster.
