Education portal

Project

For the Federal Employment Agency (BA), we are engaged as an external service provider and act there as part of a separate and colorful team of developers. Goal: The modernization of an online portal. Why: Providers can use it to post their educational offerings, which can then in turn be booked and attended by interested parties via BA channels. The sheer volume of regular uploads poses a particular challenge. Some education providers upload entire catalogs of offerings at once. These are then processed automatically in smaller batches via an interface and quality-assured by BA employees via the new portal. But even the providers themselves can still manually adjust their entries, set the publication date, and much more. The tech stack is provided by BA and we develop the accessible frontend with Angular. The backend is implemented with Java Spring Boot, which addresses a SQL database and soon a NoSQL database. Unit tests are done via the Jasmine framework and e2e tests, or smoke tests, are automated with Playwright via Jenkins pipelines.
