Project
CONNECTA e.V. organizes a career fair every year with over 240 participating companies. This requires excellent organization and both students and companies must be provided with appropriate information about the fair. Of course, a modern website is an essential part of a professional appearance. This was created by us as a WordPress site, whereby we could not implement all requirements with "on-board means". So we programmed the exhibitor search, the job search and a few other widgets on the site itself and provided them as WordPress plugins. This allows exhibitors to be presented in the best possible way and students to find their upcoming dream job in just a few clicks. We developed the plugins with PHP, a hodgepodge of SQL queries (including views and triggers) to connect to the club's intranet and extranet, and some JS features like autofill search input.
Customer
A small group of students has now grown into a registered association. CONNECTA e. V. was founded in 2002 and has thus created the necessary framework for the secure planning and implementation of the job fair of the same name on the campus of the OTH Regensburg. Visitors and exhibitors benefit from a continuously expanding range of products and services, so that more than 200 companies are now participating as exhibitors. The team is therefore divided into departments and organizes the career fair in October throughout the year.
